الیکشن کمیشن آف پاکستان نے کراچی اور حیدرآباد میں بلدیاتی الیکشن کے حوالے سے متحدہ قومی موومنٹ پاکستان کی درخواست مسترد کردی۔ چیف الیکشن کمشنر سکندر سلطان کی سربراہی میں تین رکنی بینچ نے فیصلہ سنایا جس میں الیکشن کمیشن نے بلدیاتی انتخابات کے حوالے سے جماعت اسلامی کی درخواست منظور کرلی۔الیکشن کمیشن نے اپنے حکم میں کہا ہےکہ کراچی، حیدرآباد میں بلدیاتی انتخابات شیڈول کے مطابق 15 جنوری کو ہوں گے۔الیکشن کمیشن میں ایم کیوایم کا مؤقف تھا کہ الیکشن میں دوہری ووٹر فہرستیں استعمال ہورہی ہیں اس لیے بلدیاتی الیکشن نئی ووٹر فہرست پر کرائے جائیں۔الیکشن کمیشن نے کہا ہےکہ کراچی اور حیدرآباد میں بلدیاتی انتخابات کا 15 جنوری کو انعقاد یقنیی بنایا جائے۔
